A Sending Blessing for Chris and Kim Joiner

(includes both borrowed and original words)

by Anne Keener

May love and laughter light your days,

and warm your heart and home.

May good and faithful friends be yours,

wherever you may roam.

May peace and plenty bless your world

with joy that long endures.

May all your days overflow with love

like you have done to ours.

May you continue the adventure of walking by the Spirit.

and remember you are loved as you are and are becoming.

May you carry our memory with you as journey on

trusting our time together will never be forgotten.

May you feel God’s presence as close as your next breath

and continue to reflect God’s light and love on all you meet.

May you feel at home in your new place

as you recall that all the earth is God’s home.

May your hearts be filled with joy and love

as you follow God into this new call.

May you be a blessing to those awaiting your arrival

as you have most certainly been a blessing to us.

May the road rise to meet you

and the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm on your face

and the rain fall soft on your fields.

And until we meet again,

may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Go now in the peace of Christ to love and serve the Lord.

Amen.

Bridge Pastor-
