Purpose of Presbyterian Women

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, we commit ourselves:

To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.

As a member of First Presbyterian Church, Franklin, every woman is also a member of Presbyterian Women, and you are invited to join us for fellowship and Bible study.

Presbyterian Women in Mission

First Church's Presbyterian Women organization has served the church and community faithfully in many ways.

Our Presbyterian Women:

  • Coordinate the Angel Tree program which benefits My Friends House, Bridges of Williamson County, the Boys and Girls Club, and local families in need.
  • Provide food baskets and gifts, and volunteer for The Manger at Graceworks

  • Take Christmas cards and cookies to prisoners at the Williamson County Correctional facility.
